Abstract

Rantau Panjang Village, Tanah Grogot district, Paser Regency has a stunting prevalence of 23.8 percent of the 105 children under the age of five measured or there are 25 children who experience stunting conditions. This study aims to determine the status of household food security in families who have children under five years old with stunting conditions. The sample in this study namely, 25 households. Respondents in this study were mothers of children under five years of age with stunting conditions. The data analysis technique in this study uses descriptive research with quantitative approach. Quantitative analysis in this study is to process data in the form of numbers obtained from the values in the answers to the questionnaires given to respondents. The results showed that the Household Food Security Index in families with stunted children in Rantau Panjang Village, Tanah Grogot Subdistrict, Paser Regency, was 41.89% or less than the Food Security Index of 70%. Thus, household food security is in the category of less food security, so it can be concluded that the low household food security index in Rantau Panjang village is one of the causes of stunting in toddlers
