Abstract

Quizizz is an interesting game-based application that can be used as an interactive learning tool or medium and can increase students' learning motivation in learning with interesting features. And the ease of accessing the Quizizz application makes the learning process more enjoyable for students. The main problem in this research is whether there is an effect of using Quizzizz on the learning outcomes of class VIII students in the even semester social studies subjects at MTs. Mesra Pematangsiantar. With the aim of finding out the effect of using Quizizz on the learning outcomes of class VIII students in even semester social studies subjects at MTs. Mesra Pematangsiantar. This research method uses the Quasi Experiment method with the Two Group Pre-test and Post-test Design type, namely a research method that uses two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class which functions to determine whether there is an increase in students' social studies learning outcomes. Where the experimental class was given treatment with Quizzizz while the control class was given conventional learning treatment. The sample in this study was 38 people, of which the experimental class (VIII-1) was 19, and the control class (VIII-3) was 19. With a population of 255 people. This research was carried out during 7 meetings in each class group. Based on the analysis results obtained using the t test (simple linear regression), the tcount was 4.518. If compared then tcount > ttable or 4.518 > 1.734, then it can be seen from the significance level α of 0.000, so it can be concluded that (0.000 < 0.05) this shows that H_a is accepted and H_0 is rejected. This means that there is an influence of using Quizzizz on the learning outcomes of class VIII students in the even semester social studies subjects at MTs. Mesra Pematangsiantar
